Black Friday appliance deals 2026: freezers, fridges and more

Appliance deals are where “comp value” lines get wild. On all three Insignia appliances we’d buy as of , Best Buy shows a comp value about twice the sale price, and we’ve never seen any of them sell for it. Here’s what they have sold for, what to check before you buy, and which ones are worth buying before Black Friday on Nov 27, 2026.

Best Buy sold the older version for $189.99 on Sep 8, 2025, $199.99 on Nov 3, 2025 and $189.99 on Nov 20, 2025. This listing is a new 2026 Insignia model, so those prices aren’t a perfect match. We’ve recorded it at $149.99 on Oct 23 and Oct 26, 2026. Ignore the $299.99 comp value.

It was $399.99 on sale on Aug 22, 2025 and again on Oct 20, 2026, then $349.99 on Oct 22, 2026. Delivery was $39.99 when we checked on Oct 22, 2026, unless you pick it up. Class dismissed
- LG 28 cu. ft. French-door fridge (LHFS28XBS): $1,799 at Home Depot on Oct 21, 2026, against a $3,099 “was” price. Home Depot sold it for $1,560 on Sep 1, 2026, and our notes have it under $1,600 several times in 2026. Graded D (Wait), and a good example of a big percent-off sign on a price that isn’t low.
- Insignia 1.1 cu. ft. countertop microwave: $79.99 as a Best Buy Deal of the Day that ended Oct 21, 2026. It was also $79.99 on Jun 23, Jul 23, Aug 22 and Sep 16, 2026. Graded C (Wait). It’s a fine price, but it came back about once a month, so the countdown clock doesn’t make it special.

What to check on the spec sheet
- Capacity and width. The fridge we track is 24” wide with 10 cu. ft. Measure the space first. A fridge that doesn’t fit is no deal at any price.
- Garage-ready. Both Insignia chest freezers we track are listed as garage-ready. If yours is going in a garage that gets cold or hot, check for that label.
- Defrost type. Both freezers are listed as manual defrost, which means you’ll defrost them yourself.
- Door and energy details. The fridge has a reversible door and is ENERGY STAR. If your kitchen layout needs the door to open the other way, that line matters.
- Delivery and pickup. Best Buy showed $39.99 delivery on the fridge and the 10.4 cu. ft. freezer when we checked. Free pickup can be the real discount, if it fits in your car.
Model-number tips for appliances
- New model, old prices. Both Insignia freezers carry new model numbers, and the older prices in our records are for the previous versions of the same size. We say so on each deal page. When a store’s history looks shorter than you’d expect, a new model number is often why.
- Search the exact number. The 10.4 cu. ft. freezer is NS-CZ104WH27, the fridge is NS-RTM10SS2, and the LG is LHFS28XBS. Finish codes and letters at the end can mark a different color or version.

Buy now or wait?
Buy now if you need the space and the price is under what the item, or its previous version, has sold for. All three Insignia units clear that bar as of .
Wait if the price is one you’ve seen every month. The microwave was $79.99 on five dates from Jun 23 to Oct 21, 2026, so missing one sale isn’t a big deal.
For big appliances, ignore the percent off. The LG fridge’s discount was measured from a $3,099 price we’ve never recorded. Compare against what it has actually sold for. Every “was” price our records don’t back up is on Fake discounts.

Are Black Friday appliance deals worth it? Some are. All three Insignia units in our records are under what they, or their previous versions, have sold for. Others, like the LG fridge, show a big discount against a “was” price we’ve never recorded.
Is a garage-ready freezer worth it? If it’s going in a garage that gets cold or hot, that’s what the label is for. Both Insignia chest freezers in our records are garage-ready, at $149.99 (7 cu. ft.) and $249.99 (10.4 cu. ft.) as of .
What is Best Buy’s “comp value”? It’s a reference price Best Buy shows next to some items. On the three Insignia appliances in our records, the comp values were $299.99, $449.99 and $799.99, and we’ve never seen any of them sell at those prices.
Is it better to buy appliances on Black Friday or wait? For small appliances that go on sale often, like the Insignia microwave, it barely matters. For the freezers and fridge, the prices on Oct 26, 2026 are already at or under their recorded lows, so waiting may not get you much.
