DealTeacher is a US deals site. This page says what the site stores, in plain language.
What we collect
If you join the daily lesson or grade alerts, we store the email address you type and the fields on that form: where the signup came from, a deal slug when one is attached, the page path, UTM parameters, and, for grade alerts, the categories, keywords, minimum grade, and stores you chose. The form inbox keeps the submission with the site.
The browser keeps a few settings on your device in localStorage. dt-theme-v2 remembers light or dark after you use the header toggle. Newsletter popup state remembers whether you subscribed, and whether you closed the signup. A close lasts 14 days. First-touch UTM values sit in sessionStorage for that visit.
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic: which pages are opened, and events such as a newsletter signup or a click out to a store. Hits are sent on dealteacher.com. Preview sites and local development do not send them. Google may set its own cookies when measurement is allowed. We do not run separate ad trackers. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Affiliate links
Some store buttons are affiliate links. When you click out, that retailer may set its own cookies and see that the visit came from DealTeacher. That happens on the retailer's site. The grade does not change because of the link. Details are in the affiliate disclosure.
Unsubscribe or delete
Use the contact form to unsubscribe or to ask us to delete the address we have. We take it off the lesson list and the grade-alert list, and we delete the form submission we can still reach.
We do not sell personal data
We do not sell personal data. The address is used to send the lesson or the grade alert you asked for.
Where this applies
The site is written for readers in the United States.
Children
DealTeacher is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your Privacy Choices
You can opt out of the lesson or grade alerts with the contact form. Closing the signup keeps it away for 14 days. Subscribing means we stop asking. We do not sell or share personal data as those laws use the terms, so there is no sale or share to opt out of.
Visitors whose device timezone is in the EU or the UK get a short banner. Until you accept, analytics storage and ad storage stay denied under Google Consent Mode. Accepting turns measurement on. Choosing "No thanks" keeps it off. In the United States the banner stays hidden and measurement is on. You can also opt out in the browser with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
