Black Friday tool deals 2026: DEWALT, Milwaukee and Ryobi

Tool deals have one big habit: the same price comes back every fall. In our records, Home Depot’s Milwaukee M18 inflator kit sold for exactly $199 on Oct 25, 2022, Oct 28, 2023, Oct 21 and Nov 28, 2024, and Oct 26, 2026. That’s good news if you need one, since $199 gets you the tool plus two 5Ah batteries and a charger. It also means you can ignore the $566 and $569 “was” tags printed next to the inflator and blower kits.

Here’s what’s worth buying as of Oct 31, 2026, what to wait on, and the prices we’ve recorded for each.

The best price on the list: a shop vac

DEWALT Stealthsonic 9-gallon wet/dry vac

DealTeacher’s grade: A (Buy now). It’s $99 at Lowe’s, the lowest price we’ve seen for this shop vac. Price last checked Oct 27, 2026, 9:25 PM ET.

Lowe’s sold it for $99 on Sep 12, Oct 2, Oct 19 and Oct 21, 2026, and we haven’t seen it lower. So buy it when you need it, but don’t panic: this price keeps coming back. The sale is listed through Nov 4, 2026. Model page: DEWALT DXV09P-QT.

Home Depot’s $199 battery kits

These are the classic fall tool deal: two batteries and a charger, plus a tool, for $199. All seven below are graded B (Buy now).

Milwaukee M18 FUEL SURGE impact driver kit: $199. Home Depot’s “starter kit plus a free tool” deal was also $199 on Oct 27, 2025, so this is the usual best, not a new low. Our notes have this SURGE kit at $349 at Home Depot on Oct 26, 2026 before the bundle price. Model page.

DEWALT 20V MAX XR compact router kit: $199, with a 6Ah battery, a 4Ah battery and a charger. The router alone (tool only) sold for $119 on May 16, 2026, so the batteries and charger come in cheap. It’s our first recorded price for this exact bundle.
DEWALT 20V MAX angle grinder kit: $199, also our first recorded price for this bundle.

The Milwaukee 3/8” compact impact wrench kit (no page) belonged on this list too, at $199 on Oct 29 and Dec 23, 2025 and Oct 26, 2026, but it has already left the sale.

The rule here: pick the kit for the battery platform you already own, or the one you want to start on. Don’t buy into a second platform just because a kit is $199.

RIDGID 18V brushless 12” chainsaw (tool only): $149, graded B (Buy now). Home Depot lists it at $189, and $149 is the only price we’ve recorded for it (Oct 23, 2026). It’s tool only, so if you don’t already have a RIDGID 18V battery and charger, add those to the math.
Greenworks 80V 21” self-propelled mower kit: $349.99 at Best Buy, graded B (Buy now). That’s $30 under the $379.99 it hit on Oct 28, 2025. It was $429.99 on Jun 19, 2023. Model page.

Wait on these

RYOBI ONE+ 18V kit with free multi-tool: $99, graded C (Wait). The same deal was $87 at Home Depot on Nov 25, 2025, and $99 on May 4, 2026. Holiday sales have beaten it before. Model page.
RIDGID 18V 8-tool combo kit: $299, graded C (Wait). It hit $299 on May 11, Jun 8 and Oct 26, 2026. It’s a lot of kit, but the price isn’t news. Model page.
RIDGID 18V 2-tool combo kit: $99, graded C (Wait). We don’t have a sale history on this exact kit. Our notes say RIDGID’s brushless SubCompact 2-tool kit sold for $119 earlier in 2026.

For the RYOBI and RIDGID kits, the price to wait for is below the price we graded C. We haven’t recorded the RIDGID 8-tool kit under $299, so we can’t name a lower number for it.

What to check on the spec sheet

Battery size and count. “Kit” can mean one small battery or two big ones. The Milwaukee M18 starter kit in these bundles is two 5.0Ah batteries and a charger (48-59-1852B). The DEWALT circular saw and router kits come with a 6.0Ah and a 4.0Ah battery. The RYOBI kit has a 4.0Ah and a 2.0Ah. The RIDGID 2-tool kit has two 2.0Ah batteries.
Tool only or kit. The Milwaukee Rover light and the RIDGID chainsaw are tool only. If you don’t own that brand’s batteries, the real price is higher than the tag.
Brushless or brushed. The listings say so in the title or specs. The RIDGID 2-tool kit we track is brushed. The RIDGID chainsaw and the DEWALT circular saw are listed as brushless. Compare brushed with brushed.
What’s actually in the bag. The RIDGID 8-tool kit is eight tools, a 2Ah and a 4Ah battery, a charger and a bag. Count the batteries as well as the tools.

Model-number tips for tools

Bundle numbers are two model numbers joined together. Home Depot’s Milwaukee inflator kit is the 2848-20 tool with the 48-59-1852B starter kit, so we track it as 2848-20-48-59-1852B. The same tool with a different battery kit is a different deal.
“-20” on a Milwaukee number usually means tool only in these listings. The Rover light we track is 2358-20 and is listed as tool only. Check the listing, because the number alone isn’t a guarantee.

Buy now or wait?

Buy now if it’s a $199 Home Depot battery kit on the platform you use. For the Milwaukee kits, $199 has shown up every fall we have records for, and we’ve never recorded any of these kits lower. Black Friday on Nov 27, 2026 may match it. Our records don’t show it beating it.

Wait if the same deal has been cheaper during a past holiday sale. The RYOBI kit was $87 on Nov 25, 2025, so $99 isn’t the best it gets.

Don’t wait on deals with an end date before Black Friday. The DEWALT vac’s sale is listed through Nov 4, 2026. Sale end dates can move: the CRAFTSMAN cabinet’s was Oct 28, 2026 and is now Dec 30, 2026, so check the date on the deal page.

Skip the tag. A $566 “was” price on a kit we recorded at $199 on five dates since 2022 isn’t a discount you’re getting. See Fake discounts for every “was” price our records don’t back up.

Tool deal questions

When is the best time to buy power tools? In our records, late October through November. Home Depot’s Milwaukee M18 inflator kit hit $199 in that window in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2026.

Will the Milwaukee $199 kits be cheaper on Black Friday? We’ve never recorded them below $199. The blower kit was $199 on both Oct 28 and Nov 21, 2025, so the price six days before Black Friday 2025 (Nov 28, 2025) matched the October one.

Is Home Depot’s “was” price real on tool kits? Not on the ones we checked. The inflator, blower and 3/8” impact wrench kits carry tags of $566 to $613, and across their 12 dated prices from Oct 25, 2022 to Oct 26, 2026, they sold for $199 every time.

Are RYOBI kits cheaper on Black Friday? In 2025 this one was. The ONE+ kit with a free multi-tool was $87 at Home Depot on Nov 25, 2025, compared with $99 on Oct 26, 2026.

Should I buy tool-only or a kit? If you already have batteries, tool-only usually wins. If you don’t, look at what the batteries cost on their own. On Oct 26, 2026, Home Depot’s M18 starter kit, with two 5Ah batteries and a charger, was $199 by itself, the same price as the SURGE kit that adds a driver.
