Our grade is a C, an ordinary price. If you can wait, we would: today's $169 is $29.01 above the lowest price we've recorded ($139.99 on Aug 11, 2026), so $149 or less is the price to wait for.

A good price for the DEWALT 20V MAX 2-Tool Brushless Combo Kit (DCK227D2) is $149 or less. A quarter of the 7 prices we've recorded from Apr 18, 2026 to Oct 26, 2026 were at or below that, and the lowest was $139.99. The middle of our records is $149. Our rubric says a price at the bottom of an item's history, and not one that pops up every week, can earn an A or a B. Anything over $169 is above every price we've recorded, and our rubric gives a price above an item's usual range a D or an F.

The lesson

$169 is the usual sale price for this DeWalt brushless drill and impact kit, not a low. Lowe's had it at $169 in April and May, and it dropped to $149 in June and $139.99 on Aug 11. With Black Friday a month away, we'd wait for $149 or less.
