Should you buy now or wait for Black Friday?

Our grade is an A, so this is a price worth buying at now if you need it. Today's $449 is $0.01 above the lowest price we've recorded ($448.99 on Dec 13, 2025). Black Friday could bring a lower price, but nothing in our records promises one.

What's a good price for the DEWALT DWS780?

A good price for the DEWALT DWS780 is $449 or less. A quarter of the 7 prices we've recorded from Jan 15, 2025 to Oct 27, 2026 were at or below that, and the lowest was $448.99. The middle of our records is $449. Our rubric says a price at the bottom of an item's history, and not one that pops up every week, can earn an A or a B. Anything over $649 is above every price we've recorded, and our rubric gives a price above an item's usual range a D or an F.

The lesson

DeWalt's DWS780 is the 12-inch double-bevel slider a lot of shops are built around, and The Home Depot has it for $449. That ties the lowest price on record: $448.99 on Dec 13, 2025, and it was $449.10 in May. The $649 "was" price is the top of its range, not the norm. If you're ready for a serious miter saw, buy it now.
